12 March, 10am-1pm at Food Centre Wales
The Food Standards Agency in Wales is holding a series of workshop to discuss the public consultation on allergen information provision for food products that are prepacked for direct sale (PPDS).
The interactive workshops will be open to consumers with food allergies, businesses (who sell food PPDS) and local authorities based in Wales. We will be asking attendees to discuss the provision of allergen information for food sold pre-packed for direct sale, and specifically the policy options set out in the consultation (link).
PPDS is described as: Foods that may be sold in sandwich shop, café, burger bar, canteen or retailers, this could include, sandwiches, salads, individual pizza slices, hot foods such a rotisserie chicken or potato wedges that are prepacked on the premises in anticipation of an order, before being offered for sale.
