This year marks a major milestone for Food Centre Wales as we celebrate 30 years of championing innovation, skills, and sustainable growth across the Welsh food and drink sector.

Since opening in 1996, the Centre has supported hundreds of businesses - from farm-based start-ups to well‑established manufacturers - offering hands-on technical expertise, world-class processing facilities, training, and business development support. As a service of Ceredigion County Council, funded by the Welsh Government through the HELIX Programme, our mission has always been simple: to help Welsh food and drink producers thrive.
Over the past three decades, our specialist team has worked across all key sectors - dairy, meat, bakery, confectionery, beverages and prepared foods - supporting the creation of new products, safer processes, and commercially viable routes to market. From troubleshooting technical challenges to helping businesses prepare for retailer audits, the work we do is grounded in real-world industry needs.
